AMASPA
About / 01

A studio of one, by design.

I'm Amber Anand — a senior software engineer, designer, and the founder of AMASPA. I build the kind of digital work that makes a founder feel understood, not processed.

The short story / 02

Engineer first. Designer when it matters.

I started out building interfaces and the systems behind them — the kind of work where a beautiful front end is only half the problem. Over seven years, that has meant React widget platforms, drag-and-drop editors, multi-tenant APIs, and infrastructure that has to stay up when nobody's looking.

Somewhere along the way, I realized the work I cared about most was the whole thing: the positioning, the interface, the product, the launch, and the words that connect them. AMASPA is the studio I built to do exactly that, without splitting the work across five people who never speak to each other.

The five products on this site are mine. I designed them, built them, and still run them. They're the clearest proof of how I think — and the closest thing to a guarantee that I'll understand yours.

What I believe / 03

The standards behind the work.

Not a manifesto. Just the things I find myself saying on almost every project.

01

Own the whole picture

The story, the design, the code, and the launch are one system. I don't hand off the parts that matter and hope they survive.

02

Taste is a technical decision

A beautiful page that loads slowly isn't beautiful. A fast page that says nothing isn't useful. The details are the work.

03

Say the honest thing

If a smaller scope would serve you better, I'll say so. If something is out of my depth, I'll tell you before you pay for it.

04

Ship, then sharpen

Real feedback beats imaginary polish. I'd rather get a strong version in front of people than perfect a guess in private.

Experience / 04

Where the work happened.

The short version: production software, real users, and systems that had to keep working after launch.

Work with a person, not a process

Let's make something you're proud of.

No account managers. No handoff. Just one senior person who cares as much about the last five percent as the first idea.
